Joanna Dogmoch founder, president, mother



Joanna Dogmoch is the founder and president of the Sunrise K' Foundation. She is mother of Kyran, who was diagnosed with glaucoma from at just four months old.

Joanna has dedicated herself to raising awareness about childhood glaucoma. Through Sunrise K', she is determined to raise enough funds to assist Moorfields Eye Hospital in continuing to work towards developing new surgical and medical treatments for glaucoma.

Dalia Dogmoch Soubra



Dalia is a Syrian-German food author, presenter and entrepreneur. A culinary nomad born in London, raised in Paris and having lived many years in New York City, Dalia moved to Beirut when she founded Kitsch Bakery & Café, which today spans locations across the Middle East. Baking during the day and writing at night, she set up one of the first and most popular food blogs in the region, daliaskitchen.com. Dalia currently resides in Dubai and is a prominent culinary personality, contributing to BBC Good Food Middle East, acting as Harper's Bazaar Arabia's food editor and appearing on major TV channels. "Food, Love and Life from Dalia's Kitchen" is her debut cookbook, published with CPI (Publishers of BBC GOOD FOOD Middle East) in 2013.

Nadine Torterotot



Nadine Torterotot is a licensed Clinical Psychologist living in Paris and specialized in working with children who have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental delays. After having obtained a B.A. degree in psychology at the Université de Genève, Switzerland, and a M.A. degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, she graduated from l'Université René Descartes in Paris with a M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology.

She has twelve years of experience working with children and their families from many different backgrounds and cultures. She first worked at the Centre Hospitalier de Ste-Anne of Paris in a service specialized in Autism Spectrum Disorders while setting up her private practice. She is passionate about helping children reach their developmental and emotional potential through developmental assessments, individual and group therapies, as well as offering support to their families and facilitating school inclusion.

She is greatly honoured to be a board member of Sunrise K' Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for glaucoma so that families affected by this disease can lead better lives and be offered a cure one day.

Alexandra Torterotot



Alexandra Aubert-Torterotot is a French filmmaker living in New York. Ever since graduating from the School of Visual Arts she has directed four short films, several of which have won awards at various festivals around the world. She also works as a script supervisor on film sets and is currently in the development stages of her first feature film. Alexandra is an active supporter of many charitable organizations and as one of the members of Sunrise K' she hopes to help raise awareness not only through word of mouth, but also through videos.

Racil Chalhoub



Racil Chalhoub is a child of fashion. Growing up in the chic city of Paris, she was immersed in beautiful style from a very young age. She pursued her passion and moved to London to study Fashion Design & Marketing. After graduating she moved back to her city of birth, Beirut, to launch Kitsch Concept Store, a one of a kind boutique,cafe &bakery with childhood friend Dalia Dogmoch. The girl's sweet tooth pushed them to launch Kitsch Cupcakes in Dubai and across the Middle East. A fashion & food lover and entrepreneur, Racil is the fashion buyer for Kitsch & is constantly on the lookout for new designers and trends. She is currently based between Beirut & London where she is working on her next fashion venture.

Tariq S. Khan



Tariq Khan is a Dubai based professional investor who is the co- founder of TAKtical International (www.taktical.com) and its group of companies. Having over 20 years of corporate finance and public/private equity experience, Mr. Khan established TAKtical Advisory Group and TAKtical Realty Group in Dubai in 2003.

TAKtical International Limited is a global holding company with interests in various industry verticals including healthcare, specialty metals, hospitality, financial services, and real estate. Mr. Khan is also a founding shareholder and advisory board member of Texas based healthcare management company, Altus HMS (www.altushms.com) . Altus builds, operates and manages several specialty centers and services throughout Texas including Outpatient Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Sleep Labs, Hospice, and Diagnostics. Mr. Khan is also actively involved with the Altus Foundation, which is a non-profit organization established by Altus to partner with its community to provide financial support and educational opportunities for Altus patients, including cancer and hospice patients.

Mr. Khan also sat on the Board of Directors of a hospitality group that currently owns one of the most popular restaurant brands in the UAE called OKKU. Through TAKtical, Mr. Khan was a first round investor and founding shareholder.

Raising awareness about childhood glaucoma. Sunrise K' Foundation – a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness about childhood glaucoma, one of the leading causes of childhood blindness. Working with Moorfields Eye Charity – the charity that supports London’s acclaimed Moorfields Eye Hospital - and world-renowned glaucoma expert Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw, the Sunrise K' Foundation's mission is to support research dedicated to finding a cure for this debilitating disease.
